Precision Tooling Machining Cell Lead (CNC)

If coordinating people, machines, and priorities on 2nd shift sounds like your sweet spot, read on. We’re seeking a hands-on leader to steer precision work across machining, grinding, and toolmaking while upholding quality and safety at every turn.
What you’ll do on 2nd shift
Lead CNC machinists, toolmakers, and support staff with clear direction and daily goals.
Set and adjust production priorities to align with schedules and customer commitments.
Confirm parts meet specifications through in-process checks and final inspections.
Train teammates in setup procedures, machining techniques, and safe work practices.
Partner with engineering, supervision, and maintenance to resolve equipment/tooling challenges.
Complete and maintain accurate work orders, production logs, and quality records.
Monitor tooling, raw materials, and consumables; flag shortages and maintenance needs.
Maintain a tidy, organized, OSHA-compliant environment.
Champion continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, and team performance.
Required background
High school diploma or GED required; technical/trade certification preferred.
5+ years in CNC machining, tool & die, or precision manufacturing.
2+ years in a lead or supervisory capacity within a machining setting.
Proficiency with CNC operations, G&M code, setup/tooling, and blueprint reading.
Strong use of micrometers, calipers, gauges; ability to interpret GD&T.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
