This role is critical to delivering field-level maintenance instruction to Marines operating and maintaining the ACV Family of Vehicles (FoV) across operational environments.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProvide hands-on instruction and technical guidance on:\nACV system/subsystem operation\nExecution of diagnostic procedures and interpretation of results\nRemoval and installation of major components and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs)\nTroubleshooting, fault isolation, and repair of malfunctions\nPerformance of routine field-level preventative maintenance\nConduct instruction in accordance with official technical manuals, references, and approved programs of instruction.\nUpdate and maintain assigned course periods, lesson plans, student materials, and evaluation tools.\nEvaluate the effectiveness of training material and provide input for continuous improvement.\nDeliver instruction aligned with incident events and real-world scenarios related to ACV FoV maintenance.\nSupport and adhere to safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOP), and Marine Corps standards in all training activities.\nBasic Qualifications:\nU.S. Citizen with an active Secret Security Clearance.\nMinimum of 4 years of experience instructing military service members in field-level vehicle maintenance.\nCompletion of the Marine Corps Instructor Development Course (IDC) or equivalent.\nAbility to read, interpret, and teach from complex technical documentation and maintenance manuals.\nProficient in using diagnostic tools, power tools, hand tools, and electronic troubleshooting equipment.\nMust be physically capable of performing all required maintenance tasks while wearing full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including lifting, crawling, and working in confined spaces.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrior experience operating or maintaining Amphibious Combat Vehicles (ACV) or similar platforms.\nFamiliarity with ACV maintenance technical manuals and operational safety protocols.\nExperience conducting maintenance instruction in both classroom and field settings.\nKnowledge of AATOPS standards and USMC equipment fielding procedures.\nPrior military experience within the Stryker Combat Vehicle community as a maintainer.\nOther Requirements:\nUS Citizenship required for this Position: Yes\nPerformance Location: Camp Pendleton, CA\nRelocation Assistance: No\nClearance Type: Secret\nTravel Required: Yes 50%\nWorking Environment:\nThe usual daily work conditions will be in an office environment located at Camp Pendleton CA. The job requires occasional lifting of computer and other equipment, generally not in excess of 50 lbs., usually in connection with equipment transport to off-site locations for exercise events. This job also requires field time where the instructor will be required to supervise students from the Vehicle Commanders Station of an ACV during field exercises in the land and on water. The Instructor will be required to wear all PPE for extended periods of time when in the field. The exercise support staff typically travels with a high degree of frequency. Travel to training exercise locations regularly includes CONUS, its territories, with occasional international travel.
