The ideal candidate will have a minimum 10 years industry experience, and HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED . Anyone in this position must have a clean background check and a valid, current driver's license.\nThe responsibilities of the Superintendent are to coordinate day to day activities of all phases of projects; ensuring the project is on time, in budget and with 100% owner satisfaction. This candidate will lead the onsite team and will be responsible for coordinating with Headquarters regarding all onsite personnel.\nRESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:\nMaintain safety and infection control on all jobs, including the completion of proper documentation. Hold safety meetings and toolbox talks.\nManagement of the project schedule by the look ahead scheduling; weekly jobsite meetings and sub vendor coordination accordingly.\nInterpret drawings and proactively identify potential constructability issues and work with project team to resolve.\nCoordinate and conduct weekly foreman meetings.\nRisk management and problem solving with the project team.\nAct as the main liaison between the Project Manager, Sub-vendors and the Owner's Representative.\nDirect and supervise the work of all personnel on the project, such as field staff and subcontractors. Ensure subcontractors are completing work per contract documents and quality standards.\nComplete field reports, time sheets, punch lists, purchase orders, inspections and permitting. Maintain policies of documentation inside IDBO software.\nMentor Assistant Superintendents, field staff and Project Engineers on the project.\nStaff projects with labor as needed. Make the hiring decision of the labor staff.\nSKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED & PREFERRED:\nExperience as a Superintendent for a General Contractor; minimum 10 years.\nExperience as a Superintendent on Design Build projects; minimum 5 years.\nBS construction or related degree is preferred but not required.\nCPR, Standard First Aid & OSHA 30 certificate required.\nASHE Certification is strongly preferred.\nContractor Quality Control Management Certificate (USACE CQM) is strongly preferred.\nFederal healthcare Superintendent experience is strongly preferred.\nStrong working knowledge of infection control standards.\nSuperior understanding of OSHA safety guidelines and the implementation/management of these guidelines. Follows the guidelines.\nDemonstrates strong knowledge of the buildings required codes and abides by the requirements.\nDemonstrates strong problem solving solutions with sound judgment and utilizing best construction practices.\nMaintains current on required documentation.\nMaintains few punch list items and quickly corrects items with no repeat deficiencies.\nSuccessfully coordinates with and manages subcontractors.\nAverage computer skills, including Microsoft Suite.\nConstruction software experience.\nFamiliar with electrical, mechanical, HVAC, system controls, fire alarm controls, sprinkler systems and general carpentry.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, internally and externally.\nPHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:\nAbility to navigate through a construction site for extended periods.\nAbility to work on a computer and perform administrative tasks.\nAbility to perform moderate physical work such as climbing, lifting, using construction tools, moving boxes and stooping over up to 40 pounds. Will climb ladders and use construction tools.\nAbility to communicate in person, by phone and electronically by hearing and talking.\nSubject to change in weather conditions, such as heat or cold weather.\nSubject to loud noises and vibrations.\nSubject to atmospheric conditions, such as odors, dusts, poor ventilation, fumes.\nDepending on project location, employee may be subject to infectious diseases from patients in hospitals.\nSubject to close quarters, small enclosed rooms, narrow passageways and other small quarters.\nTravel to various job sites is required.\n\"We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
