This position will focus on reducing material costs and inventory by identifying alternative solutions to current material/suppliers.\n\nAugment and guide Purchasing on the transition to a component level buyer with in-house manufacturing rather than a commodity PCBA/CM buyer.\nAddress component level issues affecting current production. Identify alternate sources, component substitutions, lower costs solutions, lead-times, etc.\nProvide cost reduction efforts related to component selection, replacement, costing and implementation for Stryker CS1120, CS1121, CS1233, CS3219 and CS3219A as well as others to be identified.\nInterpret, decipher and analyze RFPs, RFQs, engineering drawings, etc. for costing, component selection and development efforts.\nProvide System Engineering from a procurement viewpoint such as component selection, cost benefit analysis, etc. on a global basis.
