Automation Technician
Job Summary Support the design, procurement, assembly, installation, and troubleshooting of automation equipment. Ensure assigned project tasks meet design specifications, quality standards, timelines, and budget requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with purchasing, manufacturing, final assembly, inspection, and shipment of automation equipmentCollaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to resolve design, procurement, or production issuesDevelop work plans for project tasks, including layouts, technical studies, design work, documentation, and material requirementsPerform cost analysis and support management of project budgetsResearch and evaluate new machine and controls technologies for automation solutionsCreate and maintain equipment manuals, maintenance procedures, and service schedulesInstall, troubleshoot, and train end users on equipment operation and maintenanceTravel as needed to support customer interaction, applications engineering, and industry eventsFollow all safety, quality, and regulatory standardsMinimum RequirementsAssociate degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or 2 or more years of experience in machine design, assembly, or maintenance of automation equipmentProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with CAD software such as SolidWorks is a plusAbility to read and interpret mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical diagramsKnowledge of controls components such as timers, relays, and switches; PLC experience is a plusStrong problem solving skills and ability to interpret technical instructions
