Employment will not commence unless and until the contract is awarded and funding is confirmed.Anglin Consulting Group is seeking a FOIA Analyst (Senior) to lead complex FOIA processing activities for a federal government agency with minimal to no supervision. The Senior FOIA Analyst will review and interpret highly complex or sensitive FOIA requests, determine search and tasking strategies, apply advanced exemption analysis, prepare final releasable records, and ensure compliance with statutory and agency requirements. This position provides technical leadership, quality oversight, and mentorship to junior and mid-level staff while supporting high-level reporting, litigation support, and efficient program execution.Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead complex FOIA processing activities with minimal to no supervisionReview and interpret highly complex, sensitive, or high-visibility FOIA requestsDetermine tasking strategy and oversee searches across multiple agency componentsApply advanced FOIA exemption analysis, including discretionary releasesDraft complex final response packages with minimal Government editsProvide litigation support, including preparation of declarations and Vaughn index documentationReview and approve work product of junior and mid-level analystsProvide technical leadership and guidance to FOIA team membersEnsure compliance with 5 U.S.C. § 552, DOJ OIP guidance, and agency-specific FOIA policiesSupport preparation of the Chief FOIA Officer's Report, DOJ Quarterly Reports, and Annual FOIA Report to CongressAssist in process improvement and backlog reduction strategiesParticipate in executive-level briefings as requiredRequirements and QualificationsBachelor's degree (additional relevant FOIA experience may substitute)Minimum six (6) years of progressively responsible FOIA processing experience within the last eight (8) yearsDemonstrated experience independently processing complex and expedited FOIA requestsAdvanced knowledge of FOIA exemptions, case law, DOJ OIP guidance, and Privacy Act considerationsExperience drafting complex determination letters and litigation support materialsExperience mentoring or supervising FOIA staffStrong analytical and written communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting high-volume federal FOIA programsExperience responding to OIG, Congressional, or media-sensitive requestsFormal FOIA certification or advanced FOIA trainingApplication InstructionsTo apply, please submit your application through our online applicant tracking system.Anglin Consulting Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
