This includes accurate and timely programming and inspection of parts as well as review of incoming material, work-in-process and customer shipments to achieve AMT quality and business objectives and comply with AS9100 standards. Other duties may be assigned as needed.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLoad parts, fixtures, and probes; execute existing CMM programs.\nWrite, develop, validate and debug measuring machine programs and provide the supporting documentation for CMM inspections.\nCommunicate with all machinists, supervisors, and engineers to meet customer/shop floor needs.\nTroubleshoot and solve both machine issues and related problems in the measuring process.\nPerform 1st piece, in-process and last piece inspection using micrometers, calipers, comparators, various gauges and CMM equipment according to AMT, customer and AS9100 standards.\nComplete customer PPAP requirements including control plans and inspection reports.\nPerform incoming material inspection tasks according to AS 9100 procedures and counterfeit awareness per AS6174.\nPerform final inspection according to AS 9100 procedures.\nPerform process and manufacturing audits and follow-up with corrective actions.\nCross train across multiple departments as needed.\nPerform data collection and communication tasks in ERP and other applications.\nComply with all Advanced Machining and Tooling policies and procedures\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications:\n\n3+ years of CMM operating and 1+ years of CMM programming.\nStrong specific knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T, setup, tooling and fixture techniques.\nAbility to create inspection reports, perform 1st article/in-process/final inspection reports.\nKnowledge of inspection tool usage such as Micrometers, Calipers etc.\nGood typing skills and ability to use software such as word, excel etc.\nKnowledge of how CAD models work.\nDemonstrated critical thinking abilities and root cause analysis.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\nProficient use of shop arithmetic and strong math skills.\nAwareness of general safety, and quality systems.\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\n\nNice to Have:\n\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.\nRock skills.\nSpecific applied knowledge of aerospace quality procedures and AS9100.\nKnowledge of non-destructive testing, metal finish processes, Metallurgy and heat treatment processes\nWorking knowledge of CNC machining, tool, fixture, work-holding and die design.\nAbility to understand CMM reports.\n\nTotal Rewards Package\n\nThe hourly pay range for this position is $30 - $45 per hour (depending on experience).
