Backed by Sentinel Capital Partners, we're driving innovation and growth across our portfolio.\r\nThe Opportunity\r\nReporting to the Chief Financial Officer of Det-Tronics, the Global Controller will lead accounting activities for the business. This role combines rigorous financial stewardship with strategic partnership across key stakeholders including our Parent, Spectrum Safety Solutions, CFO and Controller, Sales, Operations, and R&D teams. The position is based at our international headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nEnsure compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations across all legal entities and operations.\r\nProvide comprehensive, accurate monthly financial updates to senior management and the parent entity.\r\nEnsure an effective and efficient monthly financial close and manage a successful year-end audit.\r\nDevelop, implement and maintain accounting policies, financial controls and guidelines.\r\nKey tasks\r\nEstablish and drive strategic vision and priorities for the company's financial reporting function.\r\nDeliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual reporting in compliance with US GAAP.\r\nLead the monthly review of individual reporting units' financial submissions.\r\nAssist in the preparation, review and presentation of the monthly performance reports.\r\nIdentify opportunities for and drive organizational initiatives to support process improvements.\r\nCoordinate with the head of Financial Planning on ongoing and ad hoc requests from Det-Tronics leadership, Spectrum Safety Solutions and the private equity sponsor for financial information.\r\nOversee the development, implementation and maintenance of global accounting policies.\r\nAssist with business development activities and related financial diligence and purchase accounting activities.\r\nEnsure all statutory reports in local GAAP and local filings are completed accurately and filed on time.\r\nKey traits\r\nHolds team members accountable for clearly communicated expectations and deliverables.\r\nCooperatively works with team members to solve problems.\r\nEffectively develops staff and promotes a culture of continuous improvement.\r\nConsistently performs at a high level and with a sense of urgency.\r\nExhibits effective time management skills; stays on task to achieve goals and objectives.\r\nEnsures a strong internal control environment; demonstrates and enforces full compliance with accounting rules and regulations in a candid, truthful and ethical manner.\r\nWhat You Bring\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\nBachelor's degree in finance or accounting; CPA preferred.\r\n10+ years of accounting and finance experience with global companies, including 5+ years at a large US audit firm preferred.\r\nStrong understanding of US GAAP, with an ability to direct annual audit procedures and address technical accounting matters.\r\nWorking knowledge of US and international tax regulations and compliance reporting.\r\nExperience with financial consolidation package;
