DOT Permitting & Compliance Specialist

RYCO Heavy Haul, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented DOT Permitting & Compliance Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead and manage the permitting process for RYCO trucks hauling deliveries exceeding 80,000 pounds throughout the United States and Canada. The ideal candidate will have experience with permitting large commercial deliveries and a strong understanding of DOT, state, and federal commercial transportation regulations. Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate the permitting process for heavy haul deliveries across the U.S. and Canada. Ensure all necessary permits are obtained in a timely manner to prevent delivery delays. Organize and arrange truck escorts when required by state or federal regulations. Support the Heavy Haul administrative team with billing processes and other administrative tasks as needed. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of transportation regulations and ensure company compliance. Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to prepare reports, manage documents, and track permit statuses. Qualifications: Proven experience with the permitting process for large commercial deliveries. In-depth knowledge of DOT, state, and federal commercial transportation regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High attention to detail and accuracy. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
