The OT would be mentored closely by current TLG OTs in serving both populations.\nEssential Duties/Responsibilities:\nProvide developmental consultation to staff at Oakland Head Start/Early Head Start programs.\nProvide home-based and center-based assessment and early intervention for children under the age of five years.\nProvide adaptive parenting services to parents with physical or vision disabilities\nSupport quality interaction and relationships between infants or children and parents\nCoordinate intervention during teamwork with other TLG and community providers.\nComplete necessary record-keeping and reports\nRespect cultural and disability differences in a diverse community\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequirements:\n\nEducation and Experience Requirements: Master’s in occupational therapy, with a California OT License. Experience or internship with children with disabilities is a must.\nCertifications, Licenses, and Registration Requirements:\nPossession of a California Occupational Therapy license, This position requires frequent driving. Candidates must have a reliable personal vehicle, maintain current personal auto insurance as mandated by law, and ensure they remain reasonably insurable under the agency’s auto liability policies. The use of a personal vehicle is essential for the successful completion of job duties and responsibilities. State regulations require a physical examination, immunizations, current tuberculosis test, and verified fingerprint and criminal record check before hiring.\n\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nLanguage Skills: Bilingual, bi-literate preferred, English/Spanish or ASL, and other language ability based on program needs.
