Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\r\nAs a Structural Engineering Technologist, you will play a key role in supporting structural design projects for hydro, substations, renewable energy infrastructure, and industrial facilities. Your expertise will contribute to delivering high-quality, sustainable engineering solutions for our clients.\r\nAssist in the preparation of structural designs, drawings, and specifications for hydro, renewables, substations, transmission lines, and industrial structures.\r\nProduce complex and complete Structural Engineering 2D design drawings and 3D models for buildings, structures and foundations with high degree of technical accuracy.\r\nPerforms work according to established drafting standards, practices and guidelines.\r\nCollaborate with others to establish timelines and budgets, as well as solve problems.\r\nEnsure that designs incorporate sustainable and innovative engineering solutions.\r\nConduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.\r\nPursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.\r\nWork in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.\r\nAdditional duties as required.\r\nDiploma in Civil/Structural Engineering Technology from a recognized institution.\r\nMinimum of 3+ years of relevant design/drafting experience in consulting and/or Energy environment\r\nCertified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation is preferred.\r\nExperience with Civil/Structural engineering design and related disciplines\r\nDetail oriented and ability to remain focused.\r\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.\r\nExcellent communication skills, including technical writing and client interactions.\r\nAbility to sit or stand as required and remain in a stationary position for at least 50% of the workday.\r\nFrequent use of hands and fingers to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, including continuous operation of a computer and other standard office equipment such as calculators, copiers, and printers.\r\nThe majority of work is performed in a professional office setting.\r\nPeriodic travel may be required and could involve limited exposure to extreme temperatures. Travel may include air travel, during which the employee may be required to remain seated for extended periods.\r\nTetra Tech offers comprehensive benefit options that allow employees to design a plan based on individual needs and assists in planning for long-term financial security.
