Working closely with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Mental Health, we support 27 housing locations and 3 administrative buildings.About The RoleWe are looking for a proactive employee to assist participants with their personal needs and Activities of Daily Living (ADL); monitoring their health and safety; helping them to increase self-advocacy, decision making, and community connections.ResponsibilitiesSupporting participants with activities of daily living (ADL)Encouraging skill building activitiesMonitoring health and safety, building advocacy, decision making, and community connectionsEncouraging participant engagement in social networks and communitiesEducation/ExperienceHigh school diploma/GED preferred. One year experience working with people with disabilities in a certified residential setting preferredConditions of EmploymentMust have a valid NYS drivers license and reliable transportation.
