Director of Business Systems & PMO
DescriptionThe Director of Business Systems & PMO leads the execution of business systems initiatives, analytics, and process improvements that support company operations. This role plays a key part in business requirements, process design, user adoption, project coordination, data governance, and analytics.Serving as the primary bridge between business leadership and technology, the Director ensures systems such as ERP (e.g., NetSuite), WMS, integrations, and analytics platforms including Microsoft Power BI deliver measurable operational and financial value. The role leads teams responsible for business analysis, project management, master data, and analytics, ensuring technology investments align with business objectives, are properly prioritized, effectively governed, and supported by high-quality data.Reporting to the CIO, this role will work with the Director of Application Development and the Manager of Service Delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and develop a team across the business analysis, project management, master data, and analytics functionsDefine and execute the business systems roadmap in alignment with organizational strategy and CIO directionEstablish governance frameworks, change management processes, and documentation standards for enterprise systemsIdentify and eliminate inefficiencies through automation, integration, and system optimizationOwn the full lifecycle of business-critical systems in coordination with the Director of Application DevelopmentOversee the project management office (PMO), ensuring consistent delivery standards, methodology, and portfolio visibility across the organizationRemove blockers, manage escalations, and maintain executive visibility into project status, risks, and timelinesPartner with Application Development and Service Delivery on cross-functional initiativesDevelop and enforce data governance standards, data quality processes, and master data stewardship across enterprise systems with Master Data AnalystOversee the building and maintaining of Power BI analytics, dashboards, and infrastructureLeverage analytics to surface operational trends, risks, and opportunities for leadershipServe as a primary liaison between the business units and IT to translate business needs into technology solutionsManage relationships with software vendors, system integrators, and third-party service providersRequirementsBachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field7+ years of progressive experience in business systems, enterprise applications, or IT management3+ years in a people management role leading multi-disciplinary teamsHands-on experience with major ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) and WMSDemonstrated experience overseeing data governance, master data management, and analytics functionsProven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and ongoing operational responsibilitiesStrong communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skillsPMP, ITIL, or Six Sigma certification preferredExperience with Power BI or comparable BI/analytics platforms preferredPhysical Requirements:The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following:In terms of an 8-hour workday, this position requires:4 Hours sitting2 Hours standing2 hours walkingActivity: This following shows the actual time spent on each activity for this position.Bending/Twisting – Up to 2 hoursReaching – Up to 2 hours Lifting – Up to 2 hoursPushing/Pulling - 0 hoursSpeaking – 4 to 6 hoursWriting – Up to 2 hoursTyping or CRT Inputting – 2 to 4 hoursFiling – 0 hoursClimbing – Up to 2 hoursReading – 4 to 6 hoursDriving – Up to 2 hoursThe following activities are essential in your job function.Hearing – 6 to 8 hoursSeeing – 6 to 8 hoursLifting is essential in your job function.Up to 35 lbs. – Up to 2 hours Repetitive foot movement such as operating foot controls.Both feet – Walking between buildingsYour job requires you to use your hands for repetitive action.Simple Grasping – Up to 2 hoursFirm Grasping – 2 to 4 hoursFine Dexterity – 2 to 4 hoursIn your job, you may be around the following working conditions.Working on un-protected heights - Up to 2 hoursBeing around moving machinery - Up to 2 hoursExposure to changes in temperatures and humidity - Up 2 hoursDriving automotive equipment - Up to 2 hoursExposure to dust, fumes and/or gases – 0 hoursExposure to noise – 0 hoursThe specific statements shown in each section of this description are not intended to be inclusive.
