The Engineer will be expected to coordinate and complete all requests for work, assign priorities, delegate to appropriate contractor, if required, and follow-up on completion. The Engineer will be expected to perform routine maintenance and repairs of all HVAC, boiler, heating, refrigeration, water, and energy systems to ensure the effective operation of the facility. This is a non-supervisory position.\n\nEssential Responsibilities\nReview and prioritize daily work orders to ensure timely completion and identify recurring issues and recommend corrective solutions.\nOversee and inspect work performed by contractors and vendors, ensuring all work is completed properly and building systems are fully operational.\nSchedule and coordinate all required inspections with city, state, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).\nInspect and monitor building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire alarm systems, to ensure optimal performance and environmental conditions.\nEstimate labor, materials, and time requirements for repairs and maintenance projects.\nMaintain adequate inventories of tools, supplies, and replacement parts and coordinate procurement as needed.\nCoordinate preventive maintenance schedules and system downtime with the Director of Engineering Services, Property Management, and tenants to minimize operational disruptions.\nPerform assigned preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and corrective maintenance activities.\nComplete maintenance records and documentation accurately and timely.\nRespond promptly to emergency situations and coordinate additional resources as needed.\nSupport and maintain energy management programs to ensure building systems operate efficiently and cost-effectively.\nPerform additional duties and special projects as assigned.\nQualifications\nMinimum of 10 years of commercial building maintenance experience required.\nPrevious experience maintaining commercial office buildings and building systems.\nAppropriate trade licenses or certifications preferred, including:\nJourneyman or Master Electrician License\nRefrigeration Certificate of Fitness\nHigh Pressure Boiler License\nHigh Pressure Steam Operator License\nOther applicable city or state certifications\nExperience operating, maintaining, and performing basic repairs on:\nHVAC systems\nBoilers and heaters\nPumps and compressors\nRefrigerant systems\nWater systems and related equipment\nThorough understanding of building operations, maintenance, and repair of:\nHVAC systems\nElectrical systems\nBuilding Automation Systems (BAS)\nEnergy Management Systems (EMS)\nKnowledge of energy management techniques and operational best practices.\nProficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to effectively present information and provide clear instructions.\nExcellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.\nStrong customer service orientation and commitment to tenant satisfaction.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to stoop, stand, climb, and work in various physical positions throughout the day.\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of equipment, tools, ladders, and materials for distances of up to 30 feet.\nAbility to safely install and use rigging and lifting devices.\nAbility to climb ladders and stairs regularly.\nAbility to work extended hours and overtime, including responding to emergency situations when necessary.\nPreferred Attributes\nSelf-motivated and capable of working independently with limited supervision.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high operational standards.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nProfessional demeanor with excellent interpersonal and tenant relations skills.\n\n #BGTA\n\n#ZIPTA\n\nBG Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
