Our associates make the world more productive by improving the efficiency and reliability of the machinery that keeps industry in motion.\nJob Requirements / Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED required\nAn acceptable level of mechanical aptitude\nAn acceptable level of math skills\nRequires heavy lifting and material handling\nAbility to lift up to 40lbs 95% of the workday\nAbility to stand up to 95% of the workday\n\nOther Considerations:\nMechanical background and setter experience preferred\nForklift certification preferred\nAbility to read blueprints\nBasic computer skills\n\nJob Tasks / Responsibilities:\nMay require rotation of work assignments in various workstations or manufacturing cells.\nPlan and perform setups on a variety of machines to produce parts ground to customer specifications\nUse baseline setup procedures to achieve consistent setups\nMonitor machine production constantly and make accurate adjustments to produce parts to specification.\nMeet or exceed customer requirements for specifications that may include size, roundness, marks, taper, micro, length, squareness, run – out, etc.\nLoads and unloads material to and from machines and containers.\nTasks may include visual inspection of components, packaging, and transportation of parts, and making shipping labels.\nUse of a variety of gauges as well as monitoring, maintaining, and recording inspections results as specified by Work Instructions\nRead and interpret operation sheets.\nSets up and operates assembly machines, laser marking system, vision system, automatic sound test equipment, product accumulation device, close-in presses, and run-in machines.\nUse statistical process control and/or data collection as required\nPerform TPM functions as required\nRepair, adjust, and maintain gages\nProperly document all actions as required\nResponsible for housekeeping in department\nMaintain knowledge of current quality and safety system(s) and other regulatory compliance related to this position.\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.\n\nTimken is a global technology leader in engineered bearings and industrial motion.
