First and second generation. We have been unlocking cars, cutting keys, hanging cameras, setting access control, working safes, and taking emergency calls across Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio for more than 30 years.\n\nWe need an apprentice. Not a licensed locksmith. Not a security engineer. Someone trustworthy and dependable who will show up, drive the company truck, treat customers right, and learn the trade on the job.\n\n*The job*\n\n* Drive our commercial vehicles to homes and businesses. A lot of the week is on the road (up to about 75%).\n* Work beside our locksmith. Hand tools, fetch parts, help on the job, keep the truck organized.\n* Learn locks, keys, automotive work, cameras, access control, and safes as you go. Training is on the job. Tools are provided.\n* Talk to customers. Locked-out people are stressed. Stay calm and helpful.\n* Look up a part or a fix on your phone when we need it.\n* Take emergency calls when they come in. This shop works nights and weekends when somebody is locked out.\n\n*What we care about*\n\n* You are trustworthy. You will be in people’s homes, businesses, and company vehicles.\n* You are dependable. You show up. You call if something changes.\n* Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.\n* Must pass a background check.\n* Comfortable driving a commercial vehicle in all kinds of weather.\n* Willing to learn. No locksmith or security experience required.\n* Can commute to Fort Wayne. This job is in person. Relocation is required if you do not already live here.\n\nCustomer service or sales experience helps. Mechanical curiosity helps.
