This role partners closely with Underwriting, Claims, Marketing, Sales, Accounting, and IT to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nServe as a technical resource in areas such as pricing, reserving, data analytics, or predictive modeling.\nPartner with executive leadership and key stakeholders to provide actuarial insights and recommendations.\nProvide guidance and informal mentorship to junior team members.\nDevelop actuarial analyses using accepted methodologies and support technical project execution.\nCommunicate findings and recommendations to leadership, regulators, and non-technical audiences.\nIdentify and implement enhancements to rating and reserving systems to improve efficiency.\nConduct rating and underwriting research, including competitor filing reviews and risk segmentation analysis.\nCollaborate with vendors and regulatory partners to support filing approval processes.\nAssist with reporting and analytical support as business needs arise.\nBe available to support business operations during emergency or catastrophic events if needed.\nThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties or responsibilities associated with this position.\nQualifications (Education & Experience)\nBachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.\nAssociate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) required.\nMinimum of 5 years of actuarial or insurance-related experience.\nDemonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability.\nSkills — Required\nStrong leadership qualities including collaboration, influence, and mentorship.\nExcellent organization, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.\nAbility to adapt to changing business needs and competing priorities.\nStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.\nAbility to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).\nAdvanced SQL capability.\nExperience in actuarial modeling (pricing, reserving, predictive modeling, etc.).\nIntermediate programming proficiency (e.g., Python, R).\nSkills — Preferred\nKnowledge of state-specific or regional insurance markets (e.g., residential/property).\nExperience in actuarial pricing or predictive modeling.\nExperience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).\nExperience with mapping software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to remain seated at a desk for extended periods.\nAbility to view a computer screen for the duration of the workday.\nAbility to communicate via phone and in-office discussions.\nAbility to work in a standard office environment.\nAbility to lift up to 5 lbs occasionally.\nAbility to move about the office as needed.\nEqual Employment Opportunity\nThis employer is an equal opportunity organization committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
