This role requires occasional travel, including international travel with limited notice.\nThis role reports to the Director, Events & External Engagement, will work in close collaboration with the Communications department, and will coordinate and communicate with external audiences as required.\nKey Responsibilities:\nEditorial and Promotional Content Creation:\nCreate daily multimedia content such as videos, audio clips, blogs, press releases, graphics, social posts and interactive media for various platforms, including website, newsletters, print, event collateral, and all social media platforms\nConduct research and provide editorial support\nContribute to team brainstorms and conceptualize original content\nOrganize and maintain a library of multimedia assets for easy retrieval and reuse\nCommunity Engagement:\nAct as the first line of communications with WCK audiences for inbound communication on multiple platforms\nMaintain Common Response Guide ensuring information and FAQs are regularly updated\nMedia Relations:\nMonitor press inbox\nAssist with press lists and outreach\nCreate content for media distribution\nEvent Production and logistics:\nCreate content for event promotion\nAssist with set up and logistics of virtual and in-person events\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent experience\n1 + years of relevant experience, including previous editorial, digital/website, or journalism experience\nExperience in applicable software and computer applications, including Adobe Creative Suite\nKnowledge and experience in web content management systems and Microsoft Word\nKnowledge of current events and differing cultures with the ability to communicate sensitively\nExcellent verbal and written communication abilities\nAlignment with the mission and values of WCK\nMust be able to travel occasionally including internationally at short notice\nMust have U.S. work authorization\nMust have valid passport\nPreferred Candidates will also be proficient in Spanish (written and verbal) and have prior volunteer experience.\nApplication & Cover Letter\nThis application requires a cover letter that explains your interest in this position and in working for WCK.
