If you're interested in joining a high performing team, pushing the boundaries with a clean sheet development of re-usable liquid launch vehicle, this is your opportunity!\r\nCNC OperatorBased out of Rocket Lab Headquarters in Long Beach, California the CNC Operator will maintain, set up and operate the CNC machines to build flight-ready hardware that meet Rocket Lab specification at the needed rate.\r\nWhat You'll Get To Do:\r\nWork with CNC Lathe and Mill machines.\r\nRead and translate Drawings/CAD Models.\r\nWork with CNC programmer to maintain tolerances.\r\nWork to reduce any non-conformances found by Quality or Engineering.\r\nProvide improvement ideas on batch sizes, setups, tool selection etc.\r\nTrack calibration and maintenance of all equipment and tooling in the area.\r\nYou'll Bring These Qualifications As A CNC Operator:\r\n1+ years of experience with CNC operation on Lathe and/or Mills.\r\nBasic knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes.\r\nDemonstrated ability to interpret Drawings and GD&T.\r\nBasic math skills (including decimals, fractions, and conversions).\r\nFamiliarity with measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).\r\nThese Qualifications Would Be Nice To Have:\r\nFamiliarity with G-code or CNC programming basics.\r\nPrevious experience with CNC Mills, Lathes, or routers.\r\nExposure to ISO or AS9100 quality environments\r\nAbility to edit CNC programs\r\nExperience using Siemens, Fanuc and Celos Controls\r\nAdditional Requirements:\r\nWilling to work 1st shift (Monday- Thursday 5:00am - 3:30pm)\r\nAbility to travel and communicate outside of work hours\r\nMust be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed\r\nRepetitive assembly operations, grasping, standing, lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position.\r\nMust be able to move repetitively, bend or twist, and use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls.\r\nMust be able to walk or stand for extended periods 8 hours min\r\nMust be able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted.\r\nLevel and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
