STORE/HIRING & TRAINING SUPPORT
Support store management in the recruitment, hiring, and training efforts within the store. Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.Minimum Must be 18 or olderAbility to handle stressful situationsEffective interpersonal, communication and customer service skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProficient computer skillsKnowledge of basic math (e.g., counting, addition, and subtraction)Ability to preserve confidentially of informationDesiredHigh school diploma or GEDWorking knowledge of employment lawSecond language (speaking, reading and/or writing)Promote trust and respect among associates and maintain confidentiality of associate informationRefer associates with employment concerns to the store management team and/or to follow the open-door policyCommunicate with store management about current hiring needs and associate training that needs to be completeEnsure hiring tables are up, supplied, clean and tidy; hold in-store job fairs and attend external job fairs as neededBuild and maintain hiring system requisitionsSchedule interview for store leader and department leadersComplete the new hire on-boarding process including new hire paperwork, I-9s, web-based learning, etc., accurately and timelyEnter new associate information into store systems and enroll associates in the timekeeping systemIssue rewards cards, name badges, training materials, uniforms, personal protective equipment, etc. to associatesConduct store walks with new and transferred associatesSchedule new, transferred, and promoted associates for training including web-based learning courses and on the job trainingFollow up with associates and department leaders to ensure training occurs and to assess progressMaintain employee files, employee communication boards and breakroom legal postingsIn conjunction with store management, administer drug tests as neededParticipate in human resource conference callsAdhere to all local, state and federal laws and company guidelinesMust be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
