This role is critical in ensuring that all written and printed materials meet the highest standards of accuracy, readability, and brand consistency. You will review a wide range of children’s products, ensuring content is error-free, age-appropriate, and aligned with licensing requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nProofread and review a variety of materials, including:\nColoring and activity books\nStorybooks and early readers\nPackaging, instructions, and novelty kits\nIdentify and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting errors\nEnsure consistency in tone, style, and voice across all products\nVerify adherence to brand guidelines and licensing requirements\nCheck content for age appropriateness and clarity for young audiences\nReview layouts for text accuracy within design files (PDFs, print proofs, etc.)\nCollaborate with Art Directors and designers\nManage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines\nQualifications\n3+ years of professional proofreading experience (publishing, children’s media, or consumer products preferred)\nExceptional attention to detail and strong command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation\nExperience proofreading designed materials and print-ready files\nStrong organizational and time management skills\nAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative team\nPreferred Skills\nBackground in children’s publishing or educational content\nExperience working with licensed characters/brands\nBasic understanding of design/layout tools (Adobe Acrobat; InDesign is a plus)\nSensitivity to age-appropriate language and learning levels\nWhat We Offer\nOpportunity to work on fun, creative, and meaningful products for children\nCollaborative and fast-paced work environment\nCompensation based on experience\nHow to Apply\nPlease submit your resume along with a brief cover letter highlighting your proofreading experience.
