This role is responsible for managing design teams, driving preconstruction coordination, and ensuring high-quality, code-compliant electrical systems.\nProjects range from $1M to $400M and include Design-Build, Plans & Specs, and Design Assist delivery across sectors such as mission critical, healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, multifamily, and hospitality.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead Projects & Teams\nManage multiple projects during preconstruction, overseeing Design Engineers and Virtual Design staff\nDrive timelines, coordination, and deliverables across all assigned work\nOwn Technical Design Quality\nReview and perform electrical calculations (load, voltage drop, short circuit, lighting)\nEnsure all designs meet NEC and applicable building codes\nDevelop & Mentor Talent\nLead, coach, and develop a team of design professionals\nSupport onboarding, training, and continuous improvement initiatives\nDrive Cross-Functional Coordination\nPartner with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients\nParticipate in project meetings and provide technical leadership\nOversee Documentation & Drawings\nReview contracts, BIM execution plans, and specifications\nEnsure accurate development of coordination and installation drawings\nDeliver Practical Design Solutions\nSupport design for power distribution, site systems, underground, and temporary power\nIdentify cost savings and value engineering opportunities\nWhat You Bring\nExperience\n5+ years of electrical design or virtual construction experience (Revit or similar required)\n10+ years of overall electrical industry experience preferred\nPrior leadership or supervisory experience within an electrical contractor environment preferred\nTechnical Knowledge\nStrong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)\nFamiliarity with IBC, IECC, and life safety codes\nProficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud\nCore Skills\nStrong leadership and organizational ability\nAble to manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight\nClear communicator across technical and non-technical teams\nAbility to review plans/specs and recommend cost-effective solutions\nAdditional Details\nAbility to travel as needed\nExperience supporting large, complex construction projects preferred\nAt Delectus, we pursue excellence in all we do.
