This position serves as a key point of coordination for sample requests and quality-related activities, working closely with Sales, Planning, Production, Purchasing, and Quality Control.\nThe Sample Coordinator helps monitor sample and inspection activity, communicates status, delays, and issues as needed, maintains accurate inventory and quality records, and supports the overall workflow of the Quality Control area. This position requires strong organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nProvides day-to-day work direction, training, and support to Quality Control team members and temporary employees.\nTrains new employees and temporary staff on inspection procedures, quality standards, and customer-specific protocols.\nThis position does not have formal authority to hire, terminate, discipline, set compensation, or independently make employment decisions unless specifically delegated by management.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nTrain Quality Control team members, including new hires and temporary employees, on inspection procedures, quality standards, and customer protocols.\nCoordinate daily workflow in the Quality Control area to help ensure inspections are completed accurately, timely, and in accordance with established procedures.\nInspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods for defects, deviations, and compliance with established specifications.\nTrack and document product defects, rework activity, and inspection results in the WMS, Excel logs, and other required records.\nAssist in identifying the causes of product defects, nonconformances, and rework issues.\nInspect samples using appropriate methods, including comparison to standards, measurement, and functional review.\nComplete inspection reports, logs, and related documentation accurately and in a timely manner.\nRoute products for rework when needed and complete required documentation to verify status and disposition.\nPerform final quality checks on finished products in accordance with established specifications and procedures.\nReview customer and Sales sample requests with the QC Manager to help ensure recipe sheets and sample requirements are accurate.\nCoordinate sample-related activities with Sales, Planning, Production, Purchasing, and Quality Control.\nMonitor sample status and communicate updates, delays, and issues to appropriate team members.\nSend daily recaps summarizing completed work, open issues, and quality concerns identified during the shift.\nConduct monthly audits of Inspection Area inventory and related records.\nMaintain accurate sample and inspection records and help ensure materials are properly organized and accounted for.\nHelp coordinate sample shipments and ensure required documentation is completed.\nMaintain a safe work environment by following company procedures, safety requirements, and established work practices.\nHelp ensure compliance with customer-specific protocols, internal procedures, and quality expectations.\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nStrong attention to detail and ability to identify defects, inconsistencies, and deviations from established specifications.\nWorking knowledge of quality inspection methods, manufacturing processes, and standard operating procedures.\nAbility to complete inspection records, quality logs, and related documentation accurately and timely.\nBasic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office;
