We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant to support our San Francisco Region.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProvide comprehensive administrative and technical support to the San Francisco Regional Manager and Underwriters on primary construction accounts.\n\nManage and process documentation for 26 active policies (WC, GL, AL)\n\nCoordinate policy renewals, endorsements, audits, and certificates of insurance.\n\nMaintain accurate records and ensure timely data entry in underwriting systems.\n\nServe as a liaison between underwriters, brokers, and clients to facilitate smooth account management.\n\nAssist with reporting, analysis, and special projects as needed for Primary Construction.\n\nQualifications\n\nPreferably prior experience in commercial insurance.\n\nStrong knowledge of Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, and Auto Liability policies.\n\nExcellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills is mandatory.\n\nKnowledge Microsoft Suite.\n\nStarr is an equal opportunity employer, which means we'll consider all suitably qualified applicants regardless of gender identity or expression, ethnic origin, nationality, religion or beliefs, age, sexual orientation, disability status or any other protected characteristic.
