If you're excited about helping students turn \"What did I just read?\" into \"I understand the argument,\" read on!\n\nWhat You'll Do\nDevelop high-quality educational content with a particular focus on the Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills (CARS) section of the MCAT. This includes:\nCreating original MCAT-style CARS passages, questions, and comprehensive answer explanations\nApplying expertise in logic, critical thinking, argument analysis, and close reading to create challenging but fair assessment items\nDeveloping additional digital and print materials for the CARS curriculum including books and video PowerPoints and scripts\nEnsuring all content aligns with the MCAT CARS blueprint and reflects standardized-examination practices and best practices in instructional design\nCollaborating with editors, illustrators, and fellow content developers to produce accurate, clear, and engaging materials that adhere to UWorld standards\nIncorporating student and internal feedback promptly to keep materials accurate and in line with testing standards\nCollaborating with management and team members to ensure production goals and deadlines are met\nCommunicating effectively with quality assurance, customer care, IT, and software teams to troubleshoot and resolve content-related technical issues\nWhat You'll BringMinimum Qualifications\nMaster's degree in Philosophy required; PhD in Philosophy preferred\nTraining and expertise in the analytic style of philosophy\nAt least 1 year of post-graduate teaching and/or research experience in logic and critical thinking\nDemonstrated skill in writing and reviewing academic or instructional content\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic technology tools (AI expertise is a plus!)\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience writing multiple-choice questions or test-preparation materials\nExperience teaching critical reading, logic, argumentation, rhetoric, composition, or interdisciplinary humanities courses\nBackground in instructional design or curriculum development\nKey Skills\nExcellent writing and editing skills with keen attention to detail while meeting deadlines\nOutstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to execute conceptual ideas into a finished product\nOpenness to constructive feedback and iterative development\nAbility to thrive independently, adapt quickly, and brainstorm, prioritize, and collaborate effectively\n\nBenefits\n\nCompensation and benefits\n\nSalary starts at $70K, with higher compensation based on experience\nStable and growing work environment that prioritizes a quality work/life balance\nPaid time off (based on sliding scale according to hire date and work hours)\nOnsite and relaxed work environment\nGenerous paid holiday schedule that includes the entire week of Christmas off\nComprehensive benefits package (medical, vision, dental, life, disability)\n401(k) plan for retirement with 5% employer matching (eligibility after 90 days of employment)\nOn-site group fitness classes held twice daily\n\nAt UWorld, we believe strength is derived from the talents, ideas, and experiences of a diverse workforce.
