The role will span across planning, execution, and delivery. You will build and lead a team of program managers and senior technical leaders responsible for the overall program. This role spans program planning through silicon bring-up and readiness for production, requiring strong leadership, technical breadth, and deep expertise in orchestrating multi-team interlocks.\r\nThis is a highly visible role with broad collaboration across architecture, silicon design, firmware, software, platform/system teams, networking, cluster teams, operations, and other enabling functions to bring products to market.\r\nYou will have latitude to innovate and drive execution excellence, while engaging regularly with AMD senior leadership.\r\nTHE PERSON\r\nWe are seeking a senior program management leader with experience driving large, complex, cross-functional silicon, platform, and SW programs in the semiconductor and/or systems industry.\r\nYou thrive in ambiguity, enjoy building high-performing global teams, and are a change agent with a track record of improving execution rigor, program predictability, and delivery outcomes.\r\nYou possess strong interpersonal and executive communication skills and excel at aligning diverse technical stakeholders toward a unified plan.\r\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE\r\n\r\nExtensive experience leading large-scale, cross-functional hardware programs (silicon + platform/system + software readiness).\r\nExperience with AI/ML and HPC program environments and delivery expectations.\r\nStrong knowledge of end-to-end program execution methodologies, milestone governance, risk management, and dependency tracking (HW/FW/SW).\r\nPrior roles leading complex programs in global, matrixed organizations.\r\nDemonstrated strength in developing and growing leaders, scaling processes, and building execution culture.\r\nUnderstanding of HW/FW/SW interaction and system-level design tradeoffs sufficient to drive schedule and integration decisions.\r\nStrong collaboration skills and executive communication, including presenting to senior executives.\r\n\r\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\r\n\r\nLead program planning and execution for a future Instinct product from early planning through silicon bring-up and production readiness.\r\nOwn the integrated master schedule: milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and critical paths across architecture, silicon, FW, SW, platform/system, networking/cluster, and validation functions.\r\nDrive program governance: operating cadence, decision forums, issue/risk management, and escalation paths to ensure timely resolution.\r\nBuild and cultivate strong relationships with key engineering and business organizations to enable alignment and execution.\r\nDrive continuous improvement: incorporate learnings from prior programs to enhance predictability, quality of execution, and cross-team integration.\r\nPartner with peers to drive readiness across manufacturing, quality, and downstream execution organizations.\r\nSupport customer/partner interactions and executive updates as required.\r\nRecruit, develop, and retain top talent to support growth plans and scale program leadership capability.\r\n\r\nPERFERRED EXPERIENCE\r\n\r\nExperience with AI/ML acceleration, HPC workloads, and largescale compute platforms\r\nExpertise spanning hardware/software codesign and system level optimization design and system level optimization\r\nPrior experience representing technical strategy with customers, partners, or industry bodies\r\n\r\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS\r\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.\r\nLOCATION\r\nAustin, TX or Santa Clara CA\r\nLI-Hybrid\r\nLI-DKDAMD1\r\nThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\r\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\r\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
