Reasonable accommodations may be made to help enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions, considering business necessity.\n\nEssential Functions\nThe following tasks are performed, including but not limited to:\n\nConstruction, maintenance, or repair, testing, adjusting, and troubleshooting of substation equipment and systems, which includes:\n\nConcrete foundations, ground grids, and steel erection\n\nBuswork (High and Low Voltage)\n\nAirbreak / Hookstick switches\n\nControl cable\n\nTerminations (High / Low Voltage)\n\nControl buildings\n\nConduit and duck banks\n\nCapacitor bank installations 23 kV–230 kV\n\nTransformers, regulators and circuit breakers\n\nCircuit switchers, motor‑operated and manual switches\n\nResponsible for maintaining company vehicles, test equipment and tools in good working condition.\n\nFrequently works with energized high‑voltage systems, requiring skill and care to protect the lives of themselves and others.\n\nOther Requirements\n\nAble to read and communicate effectively in English.\n\nWork is performed outside and includes exposure to extreme cold, heat, inclement weather and noise.\n\nWilling to work in various locations across the state or country and for extended periods when required.\n\nMust be able to follow company safety rules and all other company policies.\n\nCDL is not required but a plus; a valid driver’s license is required.\n\nWilling to submit and pass a pre‑employment drug screen.\n\nAbility to perform all assigned tasks in a safe and effective manner.\n\nAbility to understand and communicate information and work in a team environment.\n\nAble to stoop, kneel, crouch, dig, climb and reach.\n\nAble to lift, carry and place heavy objects.\n\nMust have an acceptable MVR.\n\nWe participate in E‑Verify.\n\nRequired Physical Demands\nThis role does require the physical ability to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, and perform repetitive motions.
