Landscape Manager

Manito Golf and Country Club, one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier private clubs, is seeking an experienced and passionate Landscape Manager to lead the care and enhancement of our beautiful clubhouse grounds and select golf course landscape areas.
Position Overview
Full-time, year-round hourly position reporting directly to the Director of Facilities. The Landscape Manager is responsible for all aspects of design, installation, and maintenance of ornamental gardens, flower beds, shrubs, trees, and turf areas surrounding the clubhouse and designated golf course landscape areas.
Key Responsibilities
Design, install, and maintain seasonal color beds with annuals, perennials, bulbs, herbaceous and woody ornamentals
Select, prune, fertilize, weed, and cultivate plants to ensure outstanding aesthetic presentation year-round
Scout for and manage insect, disease, and weed issues; apply pesticides in accordance with state regulations
Maintain clubhouse turf areas (mowing, edging, fertilizing, and chemical applications)
Install, repair, and program irrigation systems for all clubhouse and golf course landscape areas
Supervise, schedule, and direct a small landscape crew
Collaborate with the golf course staff and facilities team on projects and daily operations
Perform additional grounds-related tasks and special projects as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
Post-high school training in horticulture, landscaping, or related field plus extensive professional experience as a gardener or horticulturist
Broad knowledge of annuals, perennials, bulbs, trees, shrubs, and their cultural requirements (including water needs and growth habits)
Current Washington State Pesticide Applicator license or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
Proven supervisory experience and ability to lead a small crew
Strong communication skills and a positive, member-service-oriented attitude
Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., work outdoors in all weather conditions, and perform labor-intensive tasks
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following all safety protocols
