VP of Sales and Business DevelopmentThe VP of Sales & BD Role - Engineering & Sourcing Services will be a hands-on + strategic role that will lead revenue growth, strategic client acquisition, and operational alignment for the North American market. This executive will own annual revenue targets, build strategic client partnerships, build sales organization, and position the company as a trusted engineering and Global Sourcing partner for our clients.This role requires a strong blend of:Entrepreneurial mindsetEngineering domain expertiseStrategic sourcing knowledgeBusiness development leadershipTechnical SalesCross-Functional ExecutionExecutive-level relationship managementKey ResponsibilitiesRevenue Growth & Business DevelopmentOwn revenue targets and gross margin performance.Develop strategy for different sectors for Engineering & SourcingBuild 12 - 24-month strategic pipelinesBuild multi-year account strategies for key clients.Drive account expansion and cross-sell between engineering, sourcing and market entry servicesBuild Sales Organization in line with the growth strategiesEngineering Services GrowthPosition VSG engineering teams in India as strategic extensions of client organizations.Oversee proposal development and pricing strategy.Drive Sales in all different verticals including Mechatronics (SW, HW, ME), Tooling & Automation, Refrigeration & Other industries that VSG is supportingStrategic Sourcing & Supply Chain ServicesBuild strategies to increase sourcing revenue with Clients / Industries where significant cost reductions could be realizedBuild Sales model for the sourcing services to leverage opportunities and increase marginsBuild sales organization to support the growth opportunitiesDrive measurable cost savings for clients.Work with VSG teams in Asia and supply base to build strategies and revenue modelsClient & Executive Relationship ManagementEngage at VP, Director, and C-level within client organizations.Negotiate MSAs, long-term contracts, and strategic partnerships.Represent company at industry events and trade associations.Operational Alignment with VSG Engineering and Sourcing Teams in AsiaEnsure strong coordination between US clients and VSG teams in Asia.Establish performance dashboards and KPIsOversee client satisfaction and long-term retention.Build and Mentor sales and BD teams.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Software, Electrical, Industrial, or related).10+ years of experience in engineering services, Asia sourcing, or global supply chain.5+ years in leadership role (Director or Senior Manager level).Proven track record of growing revenue in B2B engineering or Technical ServicesStrong understanding of Engineering, manufacturing processes and cost structures; global sourcing and offshore engagement modelsDemonstrated success in closing $500K+ deals.Key CompetenciesEntrepreneurial mindsetHands on - Strategic thinking + Ability to Execute deals personallyComfortable in working with Senior Leadership and Engineering/Sourcing/operations teamsExperience scaling service-based businessGlobal Sourcing and Supply ChainStrong Negotiation SkillsCross-Cultural LeadershipFinancial LiterateCritical Success FactorsAnnual Revenue Growth and New Clients AcquisitionBuilding Predictable Pipeline to achieve future revenue targetsCost Savings Delivered to ClientsClient Retention & Expansion RateIncrease in Average deal size and term of the deal
