The Quality Technician is responsible for inspecting and verifying the quality of parts, assemblies, and finished products to ensure they meet Precision Instruments' specifications and standards. This hands-on role is critical to supporting daily production operations and maintaining quality assurance throughout the manufacturing process. The role reports to the Quality Manager.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nInspect incoming parts, in-process assemblies, and finished goods using precision measurement tools and gages.\nRecord inspection results accurately using standardized forms and digital systems.\nInterpret mechanical drawings and specifications to determine inspection criteria.\nAccess and utilize job travelers, bills of material, inspection sheets, and technical drawings through internal computer systems.\nFollow detailed procedures, checklists, and instructions to complete inspections and quality checks.\nUse hand and power tools to prepare parts or samples for inspection.\nCommunicate and collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality issues.\nMaintain an organized and safe work environment in compliance with company procedures.\n\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nMinimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment\n3 years' experience with measurement tools including\ncalipers\nmicrometers\ndial indicators\nhardness testers\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical/technical drawings.\nBasic computer literacy: ability to navigate systems, print documents, and scan records.\n\nPrecision Instruments offers a comprehensive benefits package which includes, medical, dental, life insurance and 401(k).
