Applies knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, and principles of finance and business to calculations in life, health, social and casualty insurance, annuities, and pensions.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nProvides business leadership, analytical expertise, and process oversight for significant strategic initiatives\n\nPrepares and analyzes various reports to identify trends and deviations\n\nConducts analysis by qualitatively and/or quantitatively analyzing data and information, including exploratory data analysis, graphing, forecasting and modeling\n\nAnalyzes and documents complex data and business problems and provides recommendations based on research of performance analysis and business products for optimal business solutions\n\nDevelops reports, presentations and proposals for action and/or implementation plans and presents to management to assist in decision making\n\nPerforms quality assurance checks/peer reviews on the work of other team members/departments\n\nReviews and evaluates existing procedures and operations in assigned area; makes recommendations regarding improvements\n\nManages or participates in key actuarial projects\n\nComplies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information)\n\nOther duties as assigned\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEDUCATION / EXPERIENCE\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related quantitative field\n\nSeven (7) or more years related work experience\n\nAssociate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS)\n\nAssociate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA)\n\nSKILLS\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills\n\nProven ability to apply actuarial techniques and standards to complex business problems\n\nExcellent planning, organizational, and prioritization skills\n\nExcellent analytical, problem solving and time management skills\n\nPossess high level of accuracy and attention to detail\n\nAbility to work independently and within a team and to foster teamwork\n\nAdvanced knowledge of insurance or financial principles and concepts\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office products; expert level in Excel\n\nWe are proud to provide comprehensive, high quality employee programs to meet employees' needs now and in the future, including a very competitive financial package.
