R\n\neq\n\nuired Skills •\nH\nh School Diploma, some college credits preferable • M\nt possess basic Computer, Mathematic, and Science skills • A\nlity to grasp new procedures and work independently upon completion of training • A\nlity to communicate effectively with employees, outside consultants, and management • T\nrough understanding of safety and training issues W\nor\nking Conditions Wor\nk is primarily performed in a laboratory with occasional trip to collect or deliver samples The employee may be exp\nosed to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. AmSpec Services provides product information, tra\nining, engineering controls, and personal protective equipment in an effort to protect employees from exposure to pot\nentially harmful levels of those materials. Employees are required to read product information, use available eng\nineering controls, follow guidelines presented during training, and be able to wear and use appropriate protective equ\nipment, including respiratory protective equipment, as may be required by the work environment. The noise level in the\nwork environment is usually moderate. P\n\nhy\n\nsical Requirements Pas\ns a drug and alcohol test specified by AmSpec Pas\ns an annual Pulmonary Fitness and Respirator Fit Test Pas\ns a physical examination by a physician designated by AmSpec Services, both before employment and at any time dur\ning employment upon request of AmSpec Services to confirm the Surveyor’s ability to perform the essential job fun\nctions of the position.
