This position will focus on driving synergies and process enhancements via personnel, software, and other related Supply Chain processes within the sites with the objective of improving AMCIT's performance with regards to service, cost, quality, and inventory.Essential Job FunctionsIdentify and assist in the implementation of supply chain processesSupport standardization of best practices for planning and scheduling in SAP across all sitesEnsure successful implementation of ERP (SAP) processes and metricsHelp support the Sales and Operations Planning ProcessAssist in the implementation of Supply Chain best practicesLead the Supply Chain Excellence Audit processLead and support initiatives to drive inventory optimization and reductionsInitiate and track activities to reduce AMCIT inventory reservesSupport the optimization of AMCIT’s inbound and outbound freightPartner in the development of future supply chain personnelImprove performance of plant supply chain departments by employing Lean strategiesResponsible for meeting the relevant AMCIT Targets to Improve (TTI)*Other duties may be assigned*PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. APICS or ISM/Supply Chain certification required or willingness to complete certification program within two years of employment. Five (5) to ten (10) years of progressive experience in professional Materials position(s) is required. Cable and electronic component planning and purchasing experience desired or equivalent combination of education and experience.Strong Management and Team Building Skills; supervisory experience is required.Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement is required.Language SkillsAbility to read, write, speak and understand English.Job SkillsAdvanced skills including Planning, Scheduling, Sales & Operations Planning, Purchasing, Sourcing, Warehousing, Inventory Control, Shipping and Receiving / Logistics, and/or Manufacturing Engineering is desiredStrong proficiency in SAP, including master data, planning, scheduling, purchasing, and capacity analysis is requiredAdvanced knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures, and the ability to share this knowledge with othersStrong project management skillsAdvanced customer interface skillsA team player that can relate to people at all levels of the organization and possesses excellent communication skillsAn energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and a positive professional imageAbility to be flexible and able to function comfortably in a fast paced, constantly changing and ambiguous environment Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulationsAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, suppliers, and employees.
