The application window is expected to close on: 08/25/2026Job posting may be removed earlier if the position is filled or if a sufficient number of applications are received.Meet the TeamAcacia Communications Inc., a leader in disruptive client optics and coherent technology, is currently seeking a Device Verification Test (DVT) Engineer to design and run automated testing of PIC devices, assist development teams with design specifications, and improve production yields.Your ImpactReporting into Acacia/Cisco Device Verification Test group, this engineer will work closely with our integrated silicon photonics, optical packaging, ASIC development, and the operations teams to deliver leading edge, high-yielding, high-throughput processes across Acacia/Cisco product line of optoelectronic components and modules.New product introduction – work closely with RF, silicon photonics, DSP, and module design teams to debug and bring-up new PICs and modulesDevelop test algorithms and calibration proceduresDefine and execute design verification test plansBe responsible for design verification documentationSupport PIC level failure analysis and troubleshootingMinimum QualificationsBachelors + 7 years of related experience, or Masters + 4 years of related experience, or PhD + 2 year of related experiencePrior expeirence working in a lab.Experience with basic fiber optics components and test and measurement equipmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with high bandwidth RF, EO/OE testingExperience with client optics DSP, SerDes, and its testingKnowledge of software and test automation, especially based on PythonKnowledge of DAC/ADC operations and controlsKnowledge of optical communications, including PAM4 and coherent optical communicationsExperience with JMP or similar data analysis softwareC++, Matlab programming and VPI modelling experienceGood problem solving, effective communication, documentation, planning skillsInternational and domestic travel to support customer development and internal Cisco collaboration might be requiredWhy Cisco?At Cisco, we’re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era – and beyond. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below:New York City Metro Area$152,400.00 - $255,100.00Non-Metro New York State & Washington State$134,300.00 - $224,800.00 For quota-based sales roles on Cisco’s sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined. Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
