Prepare product to be packed, collated or bound, ensuring that all items produced meet customer specifications.\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\r\nSet-up and adjust cutter machine in accordance with instructions and job requirements\r\nSet-up automatic cutting programs manually into cutter machine\r\nOperate cutter machine and ancillary equipment to cut material into desired dimensions\r\nEvaluate and make decisions concerning quality of product while cutting\r\nReview job tickets and plan work processes to meet customer specifications\r\nKeep accurate press sheet information with dates and counts\r\nMonitor assigned machine during runs to ensure adherence to specifications and make adjustments as needed\r\nPerform routine maintenance, such as blade replacement, lubrication, and waxing\r\nNotify supervision of mechanical/electrical problems and complete \"Work Orders\" for parts/repairs that require maintenance assistance\r\nPrepare load flags on each outgoing load showing the next operation or destination\r\nAll other duties as assigned\r\nRequirements\r\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Hours may vary depending on departmental staffing needs.\r\nHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)\r\n1 - 3 years of previous cutting experience preferred\r\nFull comprehension in reading work instructions and business memos\r\nEffective communications skills with all levels within the organization\r\nAbility to use basic math skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, measurements and critical thinking, to solve practical problems\r\nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form\r\nAbility to prevent errors and solve problems on all prepress machines\r\nMust have the ability to work effectively in stressful situations and meet stringent deadlines\r\nBe organized and able to plan, prioritize and follow through on projects assigned with minimal supervision\r\nZund operating experience is a plus\r\nKnowledge of working on different cutting machines (specifically some working knowledge of Konsgberg XP table) is preferred\r\nWorking Conditions\r\nRequirements described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\r\nRequires use of proper body mechanics with pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling, and bending\r\nPushing/pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs\r\nRequires fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity, and coordination\r\nRequires near visual acuity\r\nRequires working around and operating departmental equipment\r\nMust be able to access and navigate each department in the facility\r\nRequires the ability to function in a professional manner under stressful circumstances\r\nMittera is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
