Along the way, you'll get the mentoring you need from local professionals in relevant fields and the Tech Talent South staff.\n\nJob Description\n\nCode Immersion Instructor:\nUnderstanding Your Role:\nAs an Instructor, you are responsible for the student experience in and out of the classroom. These responsibilities specifically lie in the realm of instruction as it pertains to the curriculum set forth by Tech Talent South.\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nLead instruction of course material in specified class hours.\nAttend and mentor students during office hours.\nBe available to mentor students outside of class and office hours.\nPreparing and creating materials, coursework, and homework for students.\nLead workshops in tandem with community organizers.\nAs a TTS team member, you also will:\nActively participate and contribute to weekly team calls\nTeach in a rewarding atmosphere\nTake on occasional side projects that may, or may not, be exclusive to your campus.\n\nQualifications\n\nWhat we're looking for:\nSkills and experience in full-stack web development. Especially in:\nRuby on Rails\nHTML/CSS\nFront-End Frameworks\nJavaScript and jQuery\nSQL\nAPIs/REST\nGit and Github\nDeployment\nMore important than deep technical experience is the ability to communicate effectively to beginners. Someone with good communication skills and social aptitude is key.\nSomeone with a passion and understanding of teaching code.
