Processing Line Technician - Injection Molding 2nd shift

Job Description Looking for a line technician 2nd shift, pay is based on experience Scope of Duties: Analyzes molding processes including peripheral equipment and automation for process improvements; documents identified areas for improvement for decision making. Performs root cause analysis in cooperation with manufacturing team. Implements and follows through on corrective actions on process related issues as identified and assigned. Troubleshoots molding and automation problems during normal production runs. Makes sure products meet specifications after process improvements or changes were implemented. Assists with set up and implementation of new production processes. Coaches and trains manufacturing personnel on molding processes. Applies lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, SMED, 5S, Poke Yoke and others to improve operations. Substitutes and/or assists molding shift lead, set up technician, automation technician as needed or directed. Leads operational continuous improvement activities. Runs errands if necessary. Covers for breaks of Team Leads and Setup Technicians. Professional Experience: Must Haves: Minimum of 5 years as plastic process technician preferably for insert molding company. Proficient with plastic injection molding process and related equipment. Experience with lean manufacturing tools (value stream mapping, SMED, 5-S, etc.) Experience with Root Cause Analysis. Experience in training and coaching others. Proficient with MS Office products. Able to work on different shifts if asked. Nice to Haves: Plastic processing degree or vocational certificate. Experience with automation equipment. Experience with insert molding. Experience in mold setting. Experience with stamping processes and/or stamped parts. Experience in maintaining tools and equipment. Supervisor experience. Part blue print reading. Six-Sigma certified (green belt).
