Senior Research Associate
We are seeking a dynamic real estate professional to join our Research and Strategy group. The candidate will help shape proprietary, well-researched, and executable investment strategies across all four traditional property types as well as alternative types. This specialist will be highly collaborative, translating market and capital-market insights into high-conviction house views that drive risk-adjusted outperformance and presenting findings in a persuasive manner to clients, prospects, and consultants.Internal Responsibilities:Develop compelling, executable investment strategies by synthesizing and integrating the spectrum of investment intelligence (macro- and microeconomic factors, megatrends, geographic dynamics, occupier behavior, and capital-market conditions) into clear, everyday business language.Build and maintain location forecast models, target-market frameworks (including KPI dashboards), and recurring research deliverables (quarterly/annual reports and house views). Contribute to related marketing materials and presentations, and help design and document dashboards, alerts, and reporting outputs.Serve as an active team member supporting the firm’s full platform by partnering with acquisitions, portfolio and asset management, and business development to understand their needs and to incorporate research insights into decision-making.Maintain the firm’s real estate fundamentals database and perform property-level and market/submarket competitive set analyses, with emphasis on acquisitions.Outward Facing Responsibilities:Contribute to thought leadership by delivering educational insights and participating in speaking opportunities that showcase the firm’s reputation and expertise.Actively contributing to the firm’s business development needs.Requirements:· Deep property investment experience with the ability to connect megatrends to a property’s income and value potential.· A minimum of 5 years’ experience at a major brokerage, investment advisor, or real estate research firm.· Strong quantitative skills with the ability to uncover insights, trends, and market inefficiencies that create competitive advantages.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.· Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel).· GIS and/or business intelligence experience preferred (e.g., Tableau, ArcGIS).· Bachelor’s or master’s degree with quantitative coursework (e.g., information systems, economics, finance, mathematics, computer science, statistics).L&B Realty Advisors offers an excellent benefits package, including vacation and sick pay, above-average holidays, PPO/HDHP medical/dental/vision plans, a matching 401(k), education assistance, health club reimbursement, and a business-casual work environment.L&B Realty Advisors is an Equal Opportunity Employer and values diversity, equity, and inclusion.L&B Realty, Advisors LLP, is currently not sponsoring applicants for work visas and as a precondition of employment, you must be authorized to work in the United States permanently.
