Cashier/Customer Service

Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing transactions efficiently, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and experience with retail sales and cashiering. Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist a diverse customer base. Responsibilities Operate POS systems accurately to process transactions, including cash handling and credit card payments Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with questions, product recommendations, and store navigation Upsell products and promote store promotions or product demos to increase sales Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented Conduct product demos when applicable to enhance customer engagement and inform about features or benefits Manage inventory levels through stock replenishment and merchandising activities Uphold phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or assisting via phone calls Supervise or assist in supervising other team members as needed, fostering a collaborative work environment Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and ready for customer use including sweeping, mopping, and counter cleaning. Requirements Previous experience in food handling/fast food PREFERRED but not mandatory Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred; supervisory experience is a plus Proficiency with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing Strong communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customers effectively Ability to perform multiple tasks such as merchandising, stocking, and assisting customers simultaneously Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately Experience working in a fastfood or similar retail environment is desirable Friendly attitude with a professional appearance; strong interpersonal skills are essential Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week Benefits: Employee discount Work Location: In person
