This role leads complex troubleshooting, equipment restoration, and reliability improvements across CNC, robotic, and fully integrated production systems. The Senior Technician works independently, mentors others, and drives up-time and maintainability.Responsibilities:Lead advanced troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and controls systemsDiagnose PLC, drive, servo, and safety circuit failuresPerform precision alignment, calibration, and validationLead major repairs, rebuilds, and equipment retrofitsConduct root cause analysis and implement long-term solutionsMentor technicians and provide technical guidanceImprove maintenance strategies and equipment reliabilityExpert troubleshooting of automated and CNC systemsStrong PLC diagnostics and system-level problem solvingDeep knowledge of drives, servos, and motion systemsAdvanced fluid power diagnosticsStrong root cause and reliability mindsetEquipment Supported:Advanced CNC systems and machining centersFully integrated robotic production cellsAutomated paint, plating, and process systemsComplex PLC-controlled production lines and safety systemsAdvanced multimeters and electrical diagnostic toolsOscilloscope (for signal analysis)Vibration analyzer and thermography cameraLaser alignment systemsAdvanced calibration toolsWhat You'll Need To Succeed:7+ years of industrial maintenance experienceAdvanced multi-craft expertise (mechanical, electrical, controls)Strong PLC and automation troubleshooting capabilityAbility to lead complex repair efforts independentlyCNC or robotics specializationMachine rebuild or retrofit experiencePredictive maintenance and reliability program involvementMajor Physical Demands:Standing Remaining in an upright position 75% of the time with intermittent walking and sitting.Lifting Frequent lifting of components ranging from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.Walking Frequent walking short distances from job to job throughout the plant.Carrying Occasional carrying of equipment components or tools weighing up to 20 lbs.Pushing Occasional use of hand truck, parts cart, to move portable equipment a moderate distance.Pulling Occasional use of hand truck, parts cart, to move portable equipment a moderate distance.Bending Frequent bending required to perform job tasks.Reaching Frequent reaching to install and remove parts or assemblies from equipment.Handling Continuous handling of small hand tools, power tools and equipmentS&C Electric is committed to equal-opportunity employment.
