The position follows technical instructions, test procedures, drawings, schematics, and quality requirements; records results accurately; and supports the timely delivery of conforming products. The operator is expected to demonstrate strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and consistent compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nPerform functional and electrical testing of electronic assemblies, printed circuit boards, subassemblies, and finished products in accordance with approved procedures and specifications.\nSet up test stations, fixtures, cables, and equipment using established work instructions and test procedures.\nOperate and interpret readings from digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, DC power supplies, signal generators, and other electronic test equipment.\nApply the correct test parameters and compare readings with established acceptance criteria.\nFollow technical directions, engineering drawings, schematics, bills of material, routers, and written work instructions.\nIdentify basic test failures or abnormal results and communicate issues promptly to the supervisor, technician, engineering, or quality personnel, as appropriate.\nMaintain accurate and complete test records in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and applicable quality requirements.\nAccurately enter test results, measurements, defects, serial numbers, and production information both manually and in computer-based systems.\nEnsure documentation is clear, legible, complete, traceable, and entered at the time the work is performed.\nReview entries and completed records for accuracy and completeness before moving product to the next operation.\nProtect the integrity of production and test data by correcting documentation errors in accordance with approved procedures.\nUse only properly identified and in-calibration test and measurement equipment; report damaged, malfunctioning, or out-of-calibration equipment.\nHandle products and components in accordance with electrostatic discharge (ESD), safety, and material-handling requirements.\nMaintain an organized, clean, and safe work area and comply with all company safety and quality procedures.\nSupport continuous improvement activities related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nTechnical coursework, certificate, or associate degree in electronics, electrical technology, or a related field preferred.\nPrevious experience in electronics manufacturing, electronic testing, or a related technical production environment preferred.\nExperience testing printed circuit board assemblies or products used in aerospace, defense, or another regulated industry is preferred.\nRequired Skills and Qualifications:\nWorking knowledge of digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, DC power supplies, and related electronic test equipment.\nAbility to set up equipment and test fixtures by following written technical instructions.\nAbility to read and follow test procedures, work instructions, engineering drawings, schematics, and quality documentation.\nBasic understanding of electronic components, electrical measurements, and safe test practices.\nDemonstrated understanding of Good Documentation Practices and the importance of data integrity and traceability.\nAbility to perform accurate manual and computer-based data entry, including test values, production records, and nonconformance information.\nStrong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.\nBasic computer proficiency, including the ability to use Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing or test data systems.\nAbility to recognize problems, follow escalation procedures, and communicate clearly with cross-functional team members.\nAbility to work independently after training and collaboratively in a team environment.\nAbility to manage multiple assignments and meet production schedules without compromising safety or quality.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with automated test equipment (ATE), electronic test fixtures, or environmental test processes.\nExperience using manufacturing execution systems, enterprise resource planning systems, or electronic quality records.\nIPC training or certification applicable to electronic assemblies.\nExperience working under structured quality or regulatory requirements.\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
