Senior Payroll Coordinator
Job Title: Sr Payroll CoordinatorPosition Type: PART-TIME role with 20–25 hours per week for 5 MonthsLocation: Irving, TX (HYBRID)Job Summary:One of our clients is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sr Payroll Coordinator to support payroll operations and ensure accurate, timely processing of employee compensation. This role will work closely with Payroll Management, Accounting, HR, Benefits, and external payroll vendors to maintain payroll accuracy, compliance, and reporting functions.The ideal candidate will have strong payroll processing experience in a multi-employee environment, excellent analytical skills, and hands-on experience with payroll systems, preferably Dayforce.Key Responsibilities:Payroll Processing & AdministrationProcess semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll for approximately 450 employees, including exempt and non-exempt staffAudit payroll data including new hires, terminations, employee updates, and payroll changesReview and validate timesheets from the time management systemPrepare manual payroll checks and adjustments as neededEnsure accurate calculation and reporting of federal, state, and Social Security withholdingsReconcile payroll reports and financial dataMaintain accurate payroll records and ensure timely payroll processingCompliance, Policy Interpretation & System AdministrationInterpret and apply company payroll policies including vacation, leave of absence (LOA), disability, workers' compensation, and withholding exemptionsEnsure compliance with federal and state payroll laws and regulationsStay current on payroll compliance updates and regulatory changesAssist with audits, tax filings, workers' compensation documentation, and internal payroll reviewsDocument payroll processes and procedures as requiredServe as liaison between employees and third-party payroll vendorsConfigure and maintain payroll system tables including earnings, deductions, garnishments, and time management settingsReporting & Vendor CoordinationSupport payroll reporting for Accounting, HR, and Benefits teams on a payroll, monthly, quarterly, and annual basisCreate and upload payroll tax and direct deposit files to external vendorsProjects & Process ImprovementsParticipate in payroll-related projects and continuous process improvement initiativesAssist Payroll Management with miscellaneous assignments and special projectsRequired Qualifications:Experience processing payroll in a multi-employee environmentStrong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax withholdings, and compliance requirementsExcellent attention to detail and reconciliation skillsAbility to handle confidential and sensitive employee informationStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsProficiency with payroll systems and time management platformsPreferred Skills:Experience with Dayforce Payroll SystemExperience supporting payroll audits and reporting functionsKnowledge of payroll tax file processing and vendor coordinationAdditional Information:Hybrid work schedule based in Irving, TXContract opportunity for 5 months with possibility of extension based on business needs.
