Through governance, operational analytics, executive reporting, and scalable operating mechanisms, we enable leaders to proactively manage risk, optimize capacity, and deliver infrastructure predictably at Industrial Compute speed.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are seeking a Technical Program Manager, Infrastructure Delivery Operations to drive integrated strategy and delivery across OpenAI's rapidly expanding AI infrastructure portfolio.\n\nThis role sits at the intersection of infrastructure strategy, New Product Introduction (NPI), supply planning, manufacturing operations, and infrastructure delivery. You will lead highly cross-functional programs spanning engineering, supply planning, manufacturing, logistics, construction, commissioning, and operations, ensuring technical and operational dependencies remain synchronized from planning through production readiness.\n\nBeyond driving program executions into production.\n\nSuccess in this role requires exceptional program managementation into clear decisions and scalable operating mechanisms.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead end-to-end delivery of large-scale AI infrastructure programs from early planning through operational handoff.\n\nAnalyze infrastructure capacity supply planning, deployment sequencing, and infrastructure investment decisions.\n\nPartner with Engineerings transition successfully into production and deployment.\n\nDevelop and maintain integrated program plans that align engineering, manufacturing, logistics, construction, commissioning, and operations into a single source of truth.\n\nProactively manage dependencies, critical path, execution risks, and recovery plans across internal teams and external infrastructure partners.\n\nPartner with Strategic Sourcingance, logistics, and deployment readiness while proactively identifying operational risks.\n\nDesign governance models, operating mechanisms, dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting that improve visibility, predictability, and data-driven decision making.\n\nTranslate complex technical, operational, and business challenges into concise executive communications, strategic recommendations, and actionable decisions.\n\nContinuously improve Infrastructure Delivery Operations' operating model, planning processes, and delivery methodologies to support OpenAI's rapidly expanding infrastructure portfolio.\n\nQualifications\n\n8+ years leading complex technical programs, infrastructure delivery initiatives, or large-scale operational programs.\n\nExperience leading highly cross-functional programs spanning engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, construction, infrastructure operations, or New Product Introduction (NPI).\n\nStrong understanding of integrated program management, dependency management, critical-path planning, and risk mitigation.\n\nWorking knowledge of electrical and mechanical infrastructure systemsers, generators, UPS systems, cooling systems, and related infrastructure).\n\nExperience supporting supply planning, manufacturing operations, supply chain operations, or deployment planning for complex infrastructure programs.\n\nExperience developing executive dashboards, governance mechanisms, operational KPIs, forecasting models, and scalable program management frameworks.\n\nStrong systems-thinking and analytical skills with the ability to connect technical, operational, manufacturing, and business dependencies across complex infrastructure programs.\n\nExperience influencing senior technical and business stakeholders without direct organizational authority.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience presenting to executive audiences.\n\nAbility to manage multiple concurrent, high-priority programs in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.\n\nPreferred Skills\n\nExperience delivering hyperscale AI infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, data centers, semiconductor manufacturing, or other large-scale industrial infrastructure programs.\n\nExperience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), product industrialization, production ramp, or operational readiness for hardware or infrastructure systems.\n\nExperience working with OEMs, suppliers, manufacturing partners, EPCs, utilities, cloud providers, developers, or other external infrastructure partners.\n\nExperience coordinating engineering development through manufacturing, supply planning, logistics, construction, commissioning, and operational deployment.\n\nExperience developing governance frameworks, operational analytics, executive reporting, and scalable operating mechanisms within rapidly growing organizations.\n\nPMP, PgMP, Agile, or equivalent program management certifications are a plus but not required.\n\nAbout OpenAI\n\nOpenAI is an AI research and deployment company dedicated to ensuring that general-purpose artificial intelligence benefits all of humanity.
