It currently specializes in transportation, petrochemical, power, commercial, residential, and ports and rail projects.\n\nPosition Summary:\nThe Utility Foreman is a mid-level position that reports to the Project Superintendent. The Utility Foreman coordinates and oversees the construction and quality of all utility processes which include infrastructure improvements of sewer, water, and drainage lines. The Utility Foreman is directly responsible for the overall effectiveness and timeliness of all assigned utility projects.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities:\n40% Management\nProvides management and oversight for all decisions regarding utility installation projects, personnel, equipment, problem resolutions, and overall effectiveness of projects.\nMonitor labor, haul, equipment production, and cost for each project.\nPlans and coordinates production on a daily basis and plans work approximately 1 week in advance.\nEnsures all timesheets are entered and audited accurately.\nPlan, assign, coordinate, and evaluate crews.\nInterpret company policies for workers and enforces safety regulations\nLead daily Task Analysis Review (TAR) meeting the with crew before the start of the shift.\nCoordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment.\nMaintains accurate record-keeping of projects.\nTracks production.\nInspects equipment and ensure operators maintain equipment and document usage.\nInspect work areas to determine the type of work required and materials and equipment to be used.\nInterprets job orders to workers and assigns duties.\nTrains new employees\n25% Safety\nEnsure the safety of the crew and the public.\nComply with all safety initiatives, protocols, and procedures.\n5% Other duties as assigned\n\nMinimum Qualifications\nRequired Education:\nHigh School/GED\n\nRequired Experience:\nThree (3) years of experience in Civil and/or Road Construction infrastructure improvement projects in a lead or supervisory position.\n\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:\nAdvanced:\n-Problem-analysis and problem-solving skills\n-Ability to work well with others at all levels of the organization\n-Ability to work under pressure\n-Interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information\n\nProficient:\nOrganizational & time management skills\nWritten and oral communication skills\n\nBasic\n-Working knowledge of and proficiency with a variety of computer word processing, spreadsheet, and database software applications\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nPreferred Education:\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field\n\nPreferred Experience:\nFour (4) years of experience in Civil and/or Road Construction infrastructure improvement projects in a lead or supervisory position.\n\nPreferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:\nExperience with B2W and Success Factors\n\nPhysical and Mental Demands\nThe following applies to all full-time positions within Barriere Construction Company A CRH Company.\nAbility to work in excess of 40 hours a week, which may include nights and weekends\nAbility to view a computer screen for long periods of time\nAbility to function in a high-pressure, stressful environment and meet stringent deadlines\nAbility to operate a computer and standard office equipment\nAbility to travel as required and work at different locations as required\nAbility to read, write and speak English at a level equal to or greater than the national standards for a college graduate\n\nWhat CRH Offers You\n\nHighly competitive base pay\nComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programs\nGroup retirement savings program\nHealth and wellness programs\nAn inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotion\n\nAbout CRH\n\nCRH has a long and proud heritage.
