Credit Analyst
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Analyst to evaluate the creditworthiness of individuals, businesses, and commercial lending opportunities. The Credit Analyst will conduct financial analysis, assess risk exposure, and provide recommendations to support sound lending and credit decisions. This role requires strong financial acumen, critical thinking skills, and the ability to communicate complex credit findings to key stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow reports, and other financial documentation to assess credit risk.Conduct comprehensive credit evaluations for new and existing clients, borrowers, or counterparties.Prepare detailed credit memorandums and recommendations for approval, renewal, or modification of credit facilities.Evaluate debt service capacity, liquidity, profitability, leverage, and collateral adequacy.Monitor existing credit portfolios and identify potential risks, trends, or deterioration in credit quality.Review covenant compliance and financial performance against established benchmarks.Collaborate with relationship managers, underwriters, lenders, and senior leadership to support lending decisions.Ensure credit decisions comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management guidelines.Maintain accurate credit files and documentation.Assist with portfolio reviews, audits, and regulatory examinations as needed.Stay informed on economic conditions, industry trends, and market developments that may impact credit risk.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.2+ years of experience in credit analysis, commercial banking, financial analysis, underwriting, or a related field.Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and credit risk assessment.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Preferred Qualifications Experience in commercial lending, corporate banking, asset-based lending, or financial services.Knowledge of lending regulations and credit policies.Advanced financial modeling experience.Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, CRC, or similar credentials.Compensation : $25-28/an hourSalary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
