We are seeking an experienced senior staff engineer to lead the design, architecture, and development of highly scalable, low-latency platform software that powers our product line.\r\nResponsibilities Architect, design, implement, and maintain robust backend services using Java, Spring Boot, WebFlux/Project Reactor, Quarkus, and reactive programming principles.\r\nBuild and operate cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure (AKS, ARM templates, HDInsight, Application Gateway, Event Hub).\r\nDesign and develop distributed, event-driven systems with Kafka for real-time data processing and messaging.\r\nDevelop multi-tenant SaaS applications focused on scalability, low latency, and high availability.\r\nLead by example with hands-on coding, peer code reviews, and setting high standards for quality, performance, and security.\r\nMentor junior and mid-level engineers; provide technical guidance and foster a collaborative environment.\r\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Management, UX, Product Development) to ensure integration and delivery of features.\r\nIdentify and resolve performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize code for maximum scalability and reliability.\r\nChampion best practices such as TDD, CI/CD, and secure coding standards.\r\nQualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.\r\n12+ years of software development experience focused on Java and Spring Boot microservices.\r\nStrong background in system design and architecture of scalable backend systems.\r\nProven experience with reactive programming frameworks (Spring WebFlux, Project Reactor, or Quarkus).\r\nHands-on expertise with Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures.\r\nDeep knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services and infrastructure management.\r\nExperience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Elasticsearch).\r\nProficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.\r\nExcellent problem-solving, communication, and collaborative skills.\r\nPreferred Skills Experience with CQRS and Event Sourcing patterns.\r\nFamiliarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.\r\nKnowledge of GraphQL, gRPC, and high-availability/disaster-recovery design.\r\nContribution to open-source projects and active participation in tech communities.\r\nCompensation and Benefits Salary range: $129,553 – $189,615 (base salary). Additional annual performance bonus or commission may apply.
