We provide exceptional customer experiences and create solutions for neighborhoods that positively impact communities by providing unparalleled expertise in real estate, investment, development, construction and management.\nThe Construction and Development Controller is responsible for all aspects of accounting for the Construction and Development businesses, including draw processes and financial reporting. They will oversee the day-to-day operations of the business's financial records. The Controller is also responsible for developing and leading direct reports and should have experience in management, goal setting, and performance reviews.\nActs as the primary Business Partner for the Construction and Development teams. Supports business initiatives and gives guidance on accounting matters.\nAccountable for all Construction and Development reporting packages, including monthly and annual financial packages.\nLeads accounting efforts on all Construction and Development closings.\nResponsible for all Construction and Owner draws, including process improvements to create the most seamless and simplistic system for processing draws and getting timely payment to subs.\nWorks collaboratively with all departments to create accurate, timely dashboards with integrated department and accounting system data.\nDrives the business to generate and best use cash.\nPartners with Finance teams to forecast EBITDA and cash needs.\nCreates and maintains internal compliance policies.\nCoaches, mentors, and manages team members.\nActs as delegate for the SVP, Accounting and other accounting leadership.\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in accounting or similar focus of study\n5-10 years of public or private accounting experience of progressive responsibilities\nExperience building and managing teams.\nCPA preferred.\nProficient in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn accounting software.\nStrong communication and teaming skills.
