Experience in the flexible packaging industry strongly preferred.\r\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities\r\nSet-up and operate flexible packaging Converting Department machines such as Totani Poucher, Karlville Poucher, Sun Centre Poucher, Deacro Slitter, RotoFlex Slitter, DCM Slitter, Stanford Rewinder, Hudson-Sharp Inno-Lok (wide and narrow formats), Sun Centre Fitment Inserter, and Nordmeccanica/Simplex Laminator.\r\nContinuously monitor machine to ensure it is running efficiently, effectively, and finished product meets all quality standards.\r\nAssist with preventative maintenance, as needed.\r\nUnderstand all applicable operational documentation and machine interfaces.\r\nKnow where all safety stops and E-stops are located.\r\nMaintain an orderly and organized work area at all times.\r\nCollaborate effectively with all team members, to include Quality Control, Catchers, Material Handlers, and other Machine Operators.\r\nEnsure that all company food safety and quality assurance procedures are followed at all times. Escalate any issues/concerns to management.\r\nOther related duties as assigned.\r\nRequirements\r\nHigh School diploma or equivalent.\r\nAbility to set-up and operate a machine.\r\nStrong mechanical aptitude.\r\nMust be able to stand for all day and lift 75 lbs. or more.\r\nMust be able to stoop, kneel, and climb a ladder and stairs.\r\nMust be able to hold objects with hands.\r\nHigh level of attention to detail.\r\nDesire to learn.\r\nAbility to meet deadlines.\r\nWillingness to do whatever is needed to keep production running smoothly.\r\nRequires nearly constant concentration and attention to detail.\r\nPay: $19.00 – $40.00 per hour.
