USPTM has an immediate opportunity for an Electrical Control Technician!\n\nA maintenance technician, with a focus on electrical control, will perform diverse responsibilities to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, Calibration & Preventative Maintenance processes, and to ensure equipment is maintained in a validated state. We believe in rewarding success, transparency, and open communications while developing our associates to enable them to build a career with USPTM.\n\nResponsibilities:\nInstall, troubleshoot, and start-up of process control and electrical systems\nRepair electrical equipment, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, and complete projects\nUtilize technical documentation (prints, manuals, specifications, etc.) to aid in troubleshooting\nAccurately keep maintenance records of critical and quality-related plant equipment\nDetermine the root cause of failure and correct condition to prevent reoccurrence\nAudit the maintenance program to include identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement\nRepair failure using current procedures and recommend alternative methods of repair\nDevelop, document, and perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to maximize equipment reliability. Generate out-of-tolerance reports, when required, for equipment found outside of acceptance criteria.\nDrive continuous improvement at the plant level. Understand and comply with all OSHA, NEC, state/provincial, and local codes. Participate in plant training and safety programs.\nDemonstrate safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment\nPerform other duties as required\nAbility to wire, troubleshoot and repair 3 Phase 480 Volts Alternating Current (VAC) systems\n\nQualifications:\nRequired Education and Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nMinimum of 1-3 years' experience in the understanding & repair of Programmable Logic Controls\nDemonstrated experience in troubleshooting technical issues (Electrical & Mechanical)\n\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nExperience with Programmable Logic Controls and Variable Frequency Drives\nKnowledge in the installation, maintenance, and repairs of common mechanical systems found in an industrial manufacturing facility that require instrumentation\nAbility to read and understand labels, blueprints, schematics, job site maps/directions, instruction manuals and/or written instructions accurately\n\nWork Environment:\nManufacturing Plant\n\nPhysical Demands:\nThis job requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk on the production floor.\n\nPosition Type and Expected Hours of Work:\nThis is a full-time position Monday through Friday; some overtime may be required.\n\nReasonable Accommodations Statement:\nTo accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily.
