Sr. Software Engineer may supervise or coordinate activities of other personnel as necessary within Agile development cycle.\nDesign, code/develop, test, and implement complex systems\nDesign solutions to solve complex business problems, considering operational and functional aspects of the solution demonstrating an in-depth understanding of the business function and related functions\nDefine solution scope to deliver early business value. Ensure objectives are clear to all team members\nLead and monitor the work of other development staff. Mentor Software Engineers to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities\nUtilize advanced technical knowledge to influence GTS system architecture, and future technological vision\nDrive constructive change, simplifying and improving the performance of critical systems, improving maintainability, and providing leadership\nJob Specifications\nTypically has the following skills or abilities:\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience\nMinimum 6 years of programming experience\nAdvanced programming experience in one or more current programming languages\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nFull technical knowledge of all phases of application development including analysis and programming\nAbility to independently provide in – depth evaluation and analysis of unique complex technological issues\nDemonstrated ability to lead others to optimal outcomes\nExercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of job duties\nPreferred Skills\nExperience and expert level full stack software developer\nExperience and expert level of creating technical designs documents, such as system diagrams, workflow diagrams and sequence diagrams that can communicate to various levels of audiences (both technical and non-technical)\nExperience and expert knowledge of Java programming language, frameworks, and design patterns\nExperience and expert knowledge of development/implementation of RESTful API's using Java.\nExperience and expert knowledge of AngularJS and Angular 8+ UI frameworks\nExperience and expert knowledge of relational databases\nExperience and expert knowledge of Test Driven Development and automated testing frameworks such as JUnit, JBehave, Selenium, cucumber, etc.\nExperience/knowledge of Sales and Underwriting business domains a plus.\n#LI-REMOTE\n#LI-VISIONCARE\nCompensation range for the role is listed below.
